Our Honeymoon: Part 1

Upon arrival, we were greeted with rum punch and this adorable sign outside of the reception building...

We were then escorted to our room. We stayed in the ocean-view suite and loved it, although we really didn't need the extra space, it was worth it for the view and the privacy.

Pathway to our room

The ocean-view building

The open-air terrace that divides the ocean-view suite from the ocean-view rooms. There were board games and books in here for guests to borrow.

Our bed.

Our outdoor shower, which came in handy for rinsing off sandy feet.

Our sitting room.

Our terrace. Definitely our favorite place to be. We liked to enjoy pre-cocktail hour beers here and I spent a decent amount of time reading in these chairs.

The view from our terrace.

The Bamboo Lounge, site of the aforementioned nightly cocktail hour.

Our room was near the yoga pavilion, so I took advantage of some early morning yoga classes.

The pool bar. We definitely didn't spend any time here at all, *wink wink*.

Ah, the glorious beach. Heavenly.

The dining room. Easily our favorite place on the property just because the food was so unreal.

View from our table. Sigh.

We arrived on Dec. 12. The traditional day to decorate for Christmas in St. Lucia is Dec. 13, so we got to see them put up the Christmas trees.

I love that they tie bundles of cinnamon sticks to the trees. We normally buy an ornament anywhere we travel together, but instead of buying one here, we're going to tie a cinnamon stick bundle to our tree every year from now on.

All lit up. In a very crappy picture.

The sunsets were incredible. Like something out of a painting. These pictures don't even being to do them justice. Sunset was our favorite time of day. Everyone would grab a drink and head down to the beach and grab a spot to watch. So peaceful and lovely.

Back tomorrow with lots of food porn, if you're into that kind of thing.

That sounds heavenly! I may add that to my list of potential honeymoon places (when I get engaged ;))!
