Toile, Dark, and Handsome

Merriam-Webster defines toile du Jouy {often abbreviated to toile} as an 18th century French scenic pattern usually printed on cotton, linen, or silk in one color on a light ground.  The origin is French, literally, cloth of Jouy, from Jouy-en-Josas, France.
