Friday Favorites

Happy Friday!  I got my wish from last Friday; we've had gorgeous fall weather here in Virginia all week long.  Something about the switch to slightly cooler temps makes me want to be extra productive this weekend.  I'm working my way through 100 Days To Christmas this year {per my list}, and it starts this Sunday.  Can't wait to get cracking on it! Are any of you playing along?

Some things I'm really looking forward to:

Starting a Soup Sunday tradition. Doesn't this chicken stew with butternut squash and quinoa look divine {and healthy!}?

taking a leaf-peeping drive down Skyline Drive

going on a ghost tour

finding and making a fun Halloween craft

It might be a bit of a hike, but Old Town Alexandria does a fabulous ghost tour. I've done it a few times in the past at Halloween and they always have new and thrilling stories!

I'm so excited for this 100 days until Christmas business. I literally almost brought out the Christmas tunes yesterday when it was 55 degrees. It's never to early to get in the spirit! Have a great weekend!

What a beautiful blog you have! My daughter goes to college in Lexington, VA and gives me a daily weather report. Just love your state in the Fall. Hope you like Gone Girl as much as I did. All the best...

I cannot wait for soup weather! West coast is still baking and that butternut stew looks ... amazing. So ready to cool down so we can heat up the kitchen.
