I posted this picture on Instagram {you can follow me @belleonheels} the other night and my bloggy friend Jennifer of Belclaire House asked if she should be reading this.  Let's put it this way:  if you like your royals shiny, unblemished, and wholesome, this is not the book for you.  If you subscribe to the notion of "If you don't have anything nice to say, come sit next to me", you will enjoy this book immensely.  It's not tabloid-y, but it's definitely filled with juicy House of Windsor gossip.  My copy is out-of-print {it's on permanent loan from my Grandmother's extensive library}, but you can get a newer edition of The Royals here.

I struggle with what to pack/make for lunch and it's only going to get more challenging over the next few months {more to come on that later}.  Thanks to Sweet Paul for reminding me about this article Country Living did a few years ago.  They interviewed 5 chefs for their brown bag suggestions.  Lots of haute gourmet ideas for lunch is right up this foodie's alley.

I DIE for this dress. So perfect for work and very Duchess of Perfection-esque.

I am pretty much obessed with making these s'mores bars I saw on Pinterest.   They are basically a homemade-version of the Golden Graham Treat bars that came out when I was in elementary or middle school.  I LOVED those things.  Does anyone else remember those? Yum!

That's it for today, folks. What are you up to this weekend?  We're off to the Farmer's Market tomorrow morning and Sunday night we're {finally} having dinner at VOLT!

I must say that the moment I saw the name "Belle on Heels" I seriously said "what" out loud. Thank goodness my fiance wasn't around to hear it; he would have died. You have such a darling blog! As for that book, it sounds like a must read!

I suspect you know in which reading corner I reside; I've just added "The Royals" to my to-read list. Thanks for the suggestion!

And do I need to add that I totally support that Kate-esque dress? TDF. That's the second Dorothy Perkins I've seen and loved recently; I'll be curious to hear about the quality if you end up ordering this.

Hope you don't mind me stopping by! :)
