Friday Favorites

The Super Bowl is upon us! Since my husband's beloved Ravens are playing, today's Friday Favorites is all things Maryland.  Crabcakes and football, y'all!
A different take on the more traditional crab dip that is served at every party in Maryland.  I ADORE traditional crap dip, but this crab rangoon dip would definitely bring a welcome twist to the dip line-up.

Who doesn't love party printables, especially when they're free?! Simply Create Designs has a fabulous collection up for grabs.

Old Bay hummus {or hoo-mus, as Ina says}.  I mean, hello?!?! How did I not think of this? We already put Old Bay on EVERYTHING else.  I could probs polish off an entire recipe of this.

For those of us {cough, me, cough cough} who don't feel the need to wear ridiculously overpriced NFL-logoed gear, a purple cashmere sweater will do juuuuuuuust fine. Bonus: it's on sale for $47.99 with code MOREPLEASE!

No Maryland gathering is complete without Berger cookies, a.k.a. my one true love. If you're like most of America and you can't buy them locally, you can go it your own with Blue-Eyed Baker's homemade version.  Or you can order as many as your heart desires from the Bergers website. THESE ARE THE BEST COOKIES EVER MADE.  Don't say I didn't warn you...

Here we go, Ravens!

Oh my gosh, I had Berger's for the first time last winter and fell IN LOVE. I'm a frosting girl, so they're the PERFECT ratio!

I'll probably be the only person not wearing a jersey at the Super Bowl party we're attending. I'm glad to know there are other people out there who wont be in a jersey either!

THANK YOU for the printable link. I was going to make my own but this is far easier and gives me more time to prepare food! The Old Bay Hummus has been on my menu since earlier this week - and the homemade Bergers are SO GOOD! (Caution: they look so much like the original some of your guests may think you opened up a package and put them on a plate :)

How have I never heard of old bay hummus?! Apparently I've been living under a rock. Spending my undergrad years in Baltimore, Old Bay is a staple in our house. Thanks for passing it along! Go Ravens!

I didn't know that crab dip was such a Maryland thing until I left Maryland! I honestly thought everyone had crab dip at every party, all the time. Silly me. I eat myself sick on Bergers.

I'm scared for Sunday. Alex and I are supposed to be in Fed Hill. Could get crazy.

HI Sarah,

I'm sure y'all are riding high this morning...what a game! I was pulling for the Ravens, so enjoyed seeing them pull it off!

And, your gathering looks like it was a winner, too. YUM!

Ok, two things:

1. I never thought of putting Old Bay on hummus either, but it sounds amazing.

2. WHAT are these cookies? I have never heard of them, and they look so good that I'm getting a little upset. Good grief.
