anyone know the original source?
So today begins what I am calling Operation Get It Together. I have been doing a really bad job at life lately. I haven't been exercising or eating healthy. We've been eating out too much. I haven't been doing my daily skincare routine or taking my vitamins. I haven't been keeping a clean, organized house. I haven't been keeping up with my friends. I haven't made time for myself or for my husband. I've really just been going through the motions, and it shows. I feel icky, my skin is gross, I've gained some unnecessary poundage, and my house is a disaster zone at all times.
I can give you a million excuses for why I've slacked off over the past few months. We moved, we adopted Ozzie, I started a new job {which requires an hour commute each way}, my car disaster, the fact that 39 days later my car is STILL in the shop, we bought a new car, M has been busy at work, etc. etc. etc. But they are all just excuses. Lots of people lead busy, stressful lives and we are no exception. Time to stop making excuses and get back on track.
I'm starting out by just adding back in 2 or 3 healthy, simple habits each week. As I get back in the groove, I'll add more in. This week? My goal is to go running three times and do my new yoga DVD once.
I am going to do my skincare routine every night.

I give myself carte blance with green tea since it's so good for you - whenever I'm in Yucky Phase I just OD on the stuff and feel amazing.
I started using a Mario face mask a few weeks ago and at first wasn't sold but now am LOVING. I'd love to hear more about the MB products you're using?
Sometimes when I have tons of tests or papers due all at once I get off track with exercise and good eating habits! Especially visiting my boyfriend in NYC all the time has lead to some extra poundage! I love Mario Badescu skincare products too. Good luck getting everything back together..I'm sure you will!!
Um, try like every other day I feel I'm getting off track! You're right, they're just excuses, but they sure feel valid when they're yours! :) Best of luck with Operation Get It Together, I should join you... but we'll see how that goes ;D
Finally getting a chance to go through old posts! I hear ya on this. Moving can really throw you out of your routine. I'm finally settling in too. I've been using myfitnesspal.com to track my calories because I have a tendency to mindlessly eat. It really helps! I've lost about 8 lbs not even dieting, which is kind of scary actually. Good luck!
